Most posts disappear into a feed. Hold the Hour is a shared clock: twenty-four UTC hours, and a name on one of them. It is an independent project. It is meant to keep running, and it cannot promise that it always will.

What a claim does

After a claim is recorded, the name and any logo go on that hour’s dial immediately, whether or not the hour is live. Once a day, when the hour arrives, that holder becomes the face of the clock. The claim remains in the hour’s history. The first recorded claims can also receive one numbered First 365 place per brand. Another hour for that brand does not earn a second plaque.
